Welcome back to the NFL Power Rankings on SoBros Network, which I’m still using to hopefully cash in on the SoBros Network being approved by Google News. My process is simple – I’m just looking at wins, losses, and the eye test to determine my top 10 teams in the league as we head into Week 6 of the 2020 season.
NFL POWER RANKINGS: WEEK 6 2020
1. Seattle Seahawks (5-0) – This Seahawks team has some real heart. That Russell Wilson to DK Metcalf connection could be somethin’ really special. Throughout their 5-0 start, this just feels like a bit of a magical team. It’s almost as if they just can’t lose. I hear your Packers talk, but this should be the Super Bowl favorite right now. They have a bye this week, before returning to action at Arizona on 10/25.
2. Green Bay Packers (4-0) – The Packers remain undefeated by virtue of a bye week, but that doesn’t make their 4-0 start any less impressive. They seem to be on a collision course with the Seahawks in the NFC. They travel to Tampa Bay for a tough matchup with a Bucs team looking to rebound on Sunday afternoon.
3. Tennessee Titans (4-0) – I’ve said all season on The Unofficial Titans Podcast that the Titans were finding ways to win despite playing some bad football and if they could ever figure it out, they’d be dangerous. Case in point – last night’s 42-16 domination of the Bills. Ryan Tannehill announced himself as a legit MVP candidate, and this team looks like it could be one of the heavyweights in a crowded AFC field. They host division rival Houston on Sunday.
4. Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) – The Chiefs got decked right in the mouth by the Las Vegas Raiders, who look like a viable playoff contender in their own right, but the Chiefs have looked a bit shaky several times throughout the season so far. With Patrick Mahomes under center, though, is there any doubt that this team gets things right and has a say in how the AFC shakes down in January? They travel to Buffalo for a big game on Monday night that was rescheduled from this Thursday (#covid).
5. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-0) – I just want to see the Steelers get a convincing win over a quality opponent, okay? Sue me. Should they be higher than the Chiefs? Maybe. But, win big at home against one of the hottest teams in the AFC, the Cleveland Browns, on Sunday, and we’ll revisit this discussion.
6. Buffalo Bills (4-1) – The Titans exposed that if you don’t let the Bills get up by three touchdowns early, they play some pretty sloppy football. That could be an issue come January, but this is still a team that will be there at the end. It doesn’t get any easier for ’em, as they host the Chiefs on Monday night.
7. Los Angeles Rams (4-1) – The AFC seems really top heavy this year, while in the NFC, it feels like the Seahawks, Packers, Rams, and then everybody else. They’re running the ball, Aaron Donald is doing Aaron Donald things, and I love the way they’re playing ball. But, they’re going to have to beat someone outside of the NFC East to get higher on my list. Sunday night, they travel to San Francisco to take on a 49ers team that is REELING right now.
8. Baltimore Ravens (4-1) – Man, it seems like that Chiefs game really lulled people to sleep on Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. The AFC North looks like it’s going to be brutal this year, but the Ravens still have what it takes to go on a Super Bowl run. They travel to play the Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday.
9. Cleveland Browns (4-1) – How about these Browns, huh? They get their shit kicked in by the Ravens in the season opener before going on a four-game win streak. Their one of the hottest teams in the AFC right now. I said in the preseason that 2020 could be the year that we thought they’d have in 2019, and I’m sticking to that. They play the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Sunday in a YUGE AFC matchup.
10. Chicago Bears (4-1) – Does anybody actually feel good about the Bears here? I mean, sure – their record says that they’re 4-1, but they aren’t exactly stabilized at the quarterback position. Thank goodness they have Khalil Mack. I’m fascinated by the fact that this team is 4-1, and I think that record despite the quarterback issues, makes them one of the most interesting teams in the NFL. They travel to play the surprising Carolina Panthers on Sunday in a game that none of us thought might actually have NFC playoff implications.

Current Super Bowl Prediction
As it stands this week, I’m going Seahawks over Titans – the Seahawks are 5-0, and the Titans are 4-0. How each of these teams got to this point just feels special. Maybe I’m getting too caught up in the emotion from this week’s thriller against the Vikings, and this week’s beatdown of the undefeated Bills. But, both of these teams have MVP candidate quarterbacks, and it feels like each could make some magic happen in the postseason.
