Titans at Bengals: NFL DFS Advice (Three Players to Watch)

(Jonnu Smith): A $4100 price tag for a high usage No. 1 tight end facing DraftKing’s worst defense against TEs? Through Week 7, Smith has been priced between $4000 to $5200. After two dud performances, he enjoys a near bottomed out price point. One of those duds came when he was injured during Week 6. Even then, No. 2 tight end Anthony Firkser covered for him: eight catches on nine targets for 113 yards and a touchdown. Tennessee’s offense runs through Derrick Henry and the tight ends.

The Bengals must prioritize stopping Henry. Smith faces a great rebound opportunity on a slate filled with capable tight ends who’ve had their salaries bottomed out.

(A.J. Green): Green has seen his price fluctuate from $3900 to $6100. At $4500, Green appears to have the best bang-for-back value among Cincinnati’s other two primary receivers (Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgins). After a slow start, Green’s last two games include 15 receptions on 24 targets. In a potential shootout where Cincinnati will almost certainly find themselves trailing , Joe Burrow should look Green’s way early and often.

Keep an eye on the injury report. If Titans CB Adoree’ Jackson remains out, then Green has a nice advantage on the outside. Slot receiver Tyler Boyd ($6600) has a great matchup against inexperienced nickelbacks but his salary has neared its peak.

(Derrick Henry): Cincinnati’s defense isn’t good. In seven games, they’ve either gotten gashed for a minimum 316 team passing yards or 155 team rushing yards. DL Geno Atkins has been on a limited snap count as he recovers from a shoulder injury. DL Carlos Dunlap was traded.

Henry faces what’s currently a peak 2020 price point ($8000). Play him anyway. He has received 19-plus carries in all but one game. My only concern is, if Tennessee jumps out to a comfy lead, then they’ll use this game to manage his carries. I’m expecting enough of a competitive game.

(Final Note): This is a very good game to target. There are lots of solid matchups with some players who have bottomed out value. Tennessee will score points. If Cincinnati’s weak offensive line can protect enough to allow Burrow to dissect Tennessee’s secondary with dink-and-dunk passes, then he could have a career game.

Expect a fun, fast paced game. Well, that or Tennessee controlling possession with a monster Henry performance. About the only thing I can’t see is Bengals RB Giovani Bernard posting big rushing numbers. At his price range, I’d pay up for a salary reduced Josh Jacobs ($6200) or Jamaal Williams (6100).
