Welcome back to the NFL Power Rankings on SoBros Network, which I’m still using to hopefully cash in on the SoBros Network being approved by Google News. My process is simple – I’m just looking at wins, losses, and the eye test to determine my top 10 teams in the league as we head into Week 12 of the 2020 season.
NFL POWER RANKINGS: WEEK 12 2020
1. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-0) – It was a bit of a slow start for the Steelers, but they eventually woke up and thrashed the Jags. They continue to be the most balanced and complete team in the entire NFL. This team is going to be tough to beat in the postseason. They have a big game against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night that could very well be the nail in the coffin on Baltimore’s season.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) – Gutsy comeback win in an absolute gem of a shootout on Sunday Night Football, and the Chiefs avenge their only loss of the season so far. This is clearly one of the best teams in the league, and it appears like we’re on a collision course to a Chiefs-Steelers showdown. They travel to Tampa Bay to play the Bucs on Sunday in what should be a fireworks show.
3. New Orleans Saints (8-2) – No Drew Brees, no problem for the Saints as they improve to 8-2 – and don’t look now, but that makes seven in a row for this team as they ascend to the top of the NFC. They travel to Denver for an interesting matchup with the Broncos on Sunday.
4. Green Bay Packers (7-3) – I’m not gonna beat the Packers up too bad….just looking at the eye test, they probably should have won that game against the Colts on Sunday. The turnovers were uncharacteristic of this team, so I think that loss was more an anomaly than reason for concern. The NFC is wide open, and there’s no reason to think the Pack can’t get right. They host the Bears on Sunday Night Football.
5. Seattle Seahawks (7-3) – The Seahawks desperately needed to get back into the win column, and they did just that on Thursday night, upending the upstart Arizona Cardinals. That defense still concerns me a bit, but this team can score with anyone. They travel to Philadelphia to take on the NFC East-leading Eagles on Monday Night Football.
6. Indianapolis Colts (7-3) – The Colts got things right against the Titans, and followed that up with a gutsy comeback win against the Packers. They seem to have figured things out on offense, and could put a stranglehold on the AFC South if they can beat the Titans for the second time this season in a huge game on Sunday.
7. Los Angeles Rams (7-3) – Alright, let’s say it – if you haven’t already been saying it, the Rams are legitimate contenders to go to the NFC Championship. They’re playing incredibly balanced football, and after rattling the Bucs on Monday Night Football, it looks like they’re certainly capable of hanging with just about anybody. They look to keep it going by hosting the 49ers on Sunday.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4) – Tom Brady just couldn’t get it done against the Bucs on Monday night. The offense never really got it going against that solid Rams defense, as the Bucs continue to struggle in prime time. They host the Chiefs on Sunday in a game that looks a lot more important than it did before that loss to the Rams. They have to step up if they hope to keep pace in a competitive NFC race.
9. Buffalo Bills (7-3) – The Bills are coming off a bye this week to play host to a Chargers team that isn’t nearly as bad as its record would otherwise indicate. It could get interesting, but the Bills need to hold serve in the AFC.
10. Cleveland Browns (7-3) – The Browns are handling the teams they should be handling, but with ugly losses to the Steelers and Ravens on their schedule, it’s hard to put them any higher just yet. They get the Jags in Jacksonville on Sunday before a big game against the Titans the following week.

CURRENT SUPER BOWL PREDICTION
This week, all signs are pointing to a Steelers-Saints Super Bowl. I’ll say this, though – the AFC looks like it’s going to come down to the Steelers and the Chiefs at this point in the season. But, the NFC is wide open – any team that gets in the playoffs in the NFC could end up representing the conference in the Super Bowl. I’m only going Saints because they look like the deepest, most balanced team in the NFC right now.
