Championship Sunday IS HERE! For my money, it’s the best football day of the year. It’s like football Thanksgiving – you get all the festivities of championship football, but there’s still “the big one” to look forward to. I love it. We just witnessed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers punch their ticket after beating the Green Bay Packers. Now, it’s time to shift gears and talk about the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs…so, let’s get to it. It’s my 2020 AFC Championship Drinking Game!

The Chiefs are currently three-point favorites, with a point total set at over/under 54.5. I like the Bills in this game because of their vertical passing attack on offense, and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes not being at 100%. Both of these teams have shown a propensity for putting points on the board, so don’t be surprised to see this one turn into a shootout.

2020 AFC Championship Drinking Game

Take a drink if/when…

  • We get the highlights of these two teams meeting in Week 6.
  • Either team registers a sack or a takeaway.
  • The lead changes.
  • You hear the term “reigning champs” or “reigning Super Bowl winners.”
  • The Bills are referred to as “underdogs.”
  • Anyone mentions that the last team to host three straight conference championships was also coached by Andy Reid
  • Patrick Mahomes and “concussion” are mentioned in the same sentence.
  • The Bills run the ball – you might no have to drink at all with this one…
  • Stefon Diggs catches a pass.
  • Travis Kelce catches a pass.
  • Tyreek Hill amasses 10 yards rushing or receiving.
  • Patrick Mahomes has a rushing attempt.
  • Josh Allen has a rushing attempt.
  • 11
  • Eric Bienemy is discussed as a “head coaching candidate.”

Take a shot if/when…

  • Anyone goes through a table at any point.
  • Tyreek Hill shoves a coach.
  • Josh Allen scores a rushing touchdown.
  • The Chiefs get a defensive/special teams touchdown.
  • They mention the Bills’ past Super Bowl failures.

As usual, stay safe and responsible out there. If you drink, don’t drive. Do the watermelon crawl.
