Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the wonderful summer fragrance, Summer Storm.

We are well within the dog days of summer, which means it’s time to dig the ol’ summer fragrances out of the closet. It’s only fitting that as much as it’s been storming and raining here in Nashville over the last couple of weeks, that I take a look at Summer Storm. Summer Storm is a hard fragrance to come by if you’re looking for it in the wild, but all of us Yankee nuts know the ‘returning favorites’ section is always a crap shoot. This is a candle I’ve managed to hold onto for years, knowing that it wouldn’t easily be replaced unless I wanted to shell out the dough to pick it up off of eBay. Why have I held onto it for so long? Because it is one of my favorite summer fragrances.

How the scientists managed to get right in the middle of a storm and discover what lightning smells like is beyond me. It takes some real gumption to pull that off. But, I expect no less from the fearless individuals at Yankee Candle. Summer Storm has a bit of musk to it, which would make some call it more of a “manly” fragrance. I can certainly see that, and think Yankee Candle is actually missing a golden opportunity to make Summer Storm cologne. I woulld wear that shit every day of my life.
