The content game giveth. The content game taketh away. It can be a wonderful thing to have an article or a social media post go viral. I’ve been in the game for eight years now, and there’s just not another rush like it (unless I’m the only lunatic that feels a literal high from it and not everyone is online 24/7 like I am). But, when you’re combing through viral content on a daily basis, there’s always that clip of a kid doing something amazing that just hits like a back breaker. You’ve been doing this forever, and here comes this kid before he’s even old enough to know about the world, doing something amazing, and reminds you of how unaccomplished you really are. SMDH – that’s what happened when I saw this little guy doing ‘Return of the Mack‘ scroll across my Twitter feed the other day. It is truly amazing, and I know that I will never do anything as amazing as this.

Okay, what am I even doing with my life anymore? I don’t want to hate on this kid. It’s not his fault that he’s already infinitely more talented than I am. But, this is just a level of skill that I know deep within I’ll never have. Like I said, the content game giveth and the content game taketh away. I’m making this about me and my misery, aren’t I? Shit. Let’s talk about this performance – when he hit those harmonies, hot DAMN that was a moment on the internet. He’s just out there hammering out the drums, the vocals, the bass, the keyboard, everything. All on his own. And, when it all comes together, it’s a classic. Can’t wait to see this kid on Good Morning America, and I’ll anxiously await his album release. Before you know it, kid, you’ll be selling out the Ryman.
Also, FYI: I don’t really hate myself. I’m just a drama queen. I actually love the content I create.
