It's lunch time on a Friday. The SoBros Mailbag is here.

Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…

Question:

Answer:

You know I can’t do all that creepy shit. The real life serial killer stuff is no problem – but the weird supernatural and religious shit….I can’t do it. Keep that stuff away from me. I like natural law and order – seeing things in an unnatural state gives me the creeps like nothing else…so this rules out all the possession stuff, skinwalkers, wendigos, etc.

The only exception is if we’re doing it for content. In that case, I’ll do just about anything if we can get a good video out of it. So, maybe that should be the plan one of these days – we’ll do it electric chair style where the camera is on me the whole time. Don’t want that cease and desist for showing Netflix programming, y’know?

Question:

Answer:

Absolutely, and if you figure out where to watch the old Home Improvement ones, let me know ’cause I always remember those being awesome episodes. Peacock has an awesome setup for their ‘Peacocktober’ campaign – all of the old Universal monster classics, some good horror, but for me, it was the way they organized all of the Halloween episodes of all their shows that got me fired up. The Roseanne Halloween episodes were awesome too – Dan and Roseanne always trying to one-up each other in the scare department. It was great, and instantly brought back that feeling of being a kid and getting so excited for Halloween. I never really knew there were Halloween episodes of Cheers, but they’re up there too so I’m stoked to dig into those at some point as well. It’s apart of tradition in this household – I have a list of movies I watch every single year, and now, to be able to add these Halloween specials thanks to the various streaming services…man, that’s awesome.

Now, we just need to figure out how to get all the old Nicktoon classics – Hey Arnold, Doug, etc. – and I’ll be set to scratch that nostalgia itch whenever I need to.

Question, from Olivia on Instagram:

Olivia sent me this meme and said it was her mailbag question this week:

Answer:

I used to have an iron stomach – I could eat the most random and disgusting shit together, and I would for the entertainment of those around me. But, that was 15 years ago, and while I don’t think my stomach is as ironclad as it was then, I do still think that if my life depended on it, I could choke every one of these dishes down. I honestly think the clam chowder popsicle would be the hardest one between the temperature and the gelatinous texture of clam chowder to begin with.

So, if I had to pick one here, I think I’m going with the cookie burger, and I have to be completely transparent with you, Olivia….I don’t think it would be that hard to convince me to eat that even if my life didn’t depend on it. Am I insane for thinking that might actually not be that bad? Like….I look at that photo and think it is clearly not as bad as the other three. So, that’s my answer, and I think I might try and cook some this weekend.

Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
