Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the wonderful Autumnal fragrance, Farmer’s Market.
Ah, yes – another harvest season has come and gone, making way for the holidays to kick in full force. Hopefully, you all had as wonderful a Thanksgiving as I did. But, it does make me pause and reflect at the infinitely quickening passing of time the older I get. This is depressing – let’s talk about this candle. It has been called “Autumn’s freshest bounty” by Wal-Mart, noting scents that include berries, apples, peaches, and warm spices. I’d say that’s about as on the nose as it’s going to get with this candle.
To me, it’s a great late fall, early Christmas type of scent – it’s as if Harvest and Mango Peach Salsa fucked and nine months later, out comes little Farmer’s Market. So, you get that nice holiday fruity overtone coming through strong with the subtle hint of the Harvest spices behind it. So, that makes it a tremendous transition candle as we close the book and fall and head into the holiday full steam ahead.
Recommended burning: As fall comes to a close and the holiday season kicks in. It’s a nice tweener between seasons because of its Harvest tones and fruity punch. It is the perfect fragrance to enjoy on a cool autumn eve as you touch yourself.
