On the latest episode of Phone It In, “The Cryptid Queen” Rooster and myself sat down to chat about the lost city of Cahokia. It’s wild to think that a city that once rivaled the size of London could just come and go without us really hearing about it in the history books (a sticking point with me as you’ll hear in the episode). But, this gives us the chance to dive into Mississippian culture, how Cahokia became a hot spot for tourism, and what ultimately led to its abandonment. Fair warning – this episode’s a little heavier than our usual Phone It In banter.
