Poor, poor Jags fans – I know my Titans brethren will slander my name for saying that given the vitriol that permeates between these two fan bases. And, I absolutely hate “there are good people on both sides” guy, but that’s exactly who I’m going to be. I know some good people that root for this terrible football team, and I can honestly say my heart goes out to ’em. I remember the days of Ken Whisenhunt and Zach Mettenberger. We can’t lose sight of that, Titans fans. Nonetheless, with all of that said, I am absolutely here for the insanity that keeps trickling out of that camp about head coach Urban Meyer.

I don’t know how much more toxic this man can get – I mean, hell…the man has hired racists, domestic abusers, there were a ton of kids out getting arrested during his time with the Florida Gators. Now, it’s been reported that he’s calling his assistant coaches losers and getting into fights with players. It sure as hell sounds like he’s lost that locker room, and for good reason. Why in the fuck would any grown professional respect that man?
But, I just can’t look away. I find myself waking up every morning and waiting for a new Urban Meyer story to drop. It’s addicting. I just want to see what he’s going to do next and how he can possibly top the toxicity from one story to the next. It’s amazing. On top of all the drama, there are a lot of people that expect Shad Khan to be patient with Meyer! MAN – can we get at least one more year of this, PLEASE?!?! I don’t care if you watch that video above, and everyone with two functioning eyeballs can tell that this man has already checked out, and decide that’s still your guy. Do it – whatever it takes. Let me get my popcorn ready.

I say a ton of dumb hyperbolic bullshit on this website just to try and get cheap laughs out of people, but I mean this one with every ounce of my soul when I say this is absolutely one of the greatest press conference videos of all time. I don’t understand why this thing isn’t going insanely viral and making the rounds on all of the day time sports talk shows. It’s so funny for the exact opposite reason of why most viral press conference videos are funny…it’s just the dead eyes, the lack of soul, that man’s hopes and dreams have vacated his body.
Hell, I don’t even know if he heard the question. Or, maybe he was just trying to process all the names he wanted to blame for the offensive line getting their asses handed to them by the Titans and couldn’t land on one in time so he just said “yeah.” Maybe this reporter – and, by the way, props to that guy for really laying it in…I felt the collective frustration of the entire Jags fan base trickling out behind that man’s voice – said nothing that Meyer disagreed with. Or, hell – maybe Meyer was distracted because he was still thinking of ways to get Carlos Hyde more involved in the offense. I don’t know!
Thankfully, Meyer wrote the book on how to examine struggling teams, so he should be able to get this situation cleared right up in no time.
