2021 brought back some of the normalcy that we had missed greatly during the first of the coronavirus pandemic. Movie theaters were back to popping popcorn, professional sports leagues welcomed back the roar of the crowd with open arms, and music venues across the country rocked out with sold out concerts night after night.

The return of artists and bands going on tour meant that there was a lot of new music for them to promote and perform. Week in and week out brought us new release after new release of new albums. Legendary artists like Duran Duran, ABBA and Ringo Starr all released new albums along with today’s giants Taylor Swift, Adele, and Lil Nas X.

Upon listening to so many of this year’s releases, I have compiled my favorite albums of 2021. In no way am I saying these are the ‘best’ or ‘greatest’ albums of the year, but rather my faves.
