Thank you – and, while we’re at it, go ahead and wish a happy belated birthday to The Cryptid Queen herself, Rooster. She’s the reason this show even gets to happen, and she’s great. Okay, now, on to the big topic of discussion for today…on our most recent episode of Phone It In, we started breaking down the history of leprechauns.

It was fascinating and eye-opening to me to learn about how these feisty fairylike creatures had emerged out of old Irish mythology. Rooster and I chatted about that, about how the idea and concept of the leprechaun had changed over time, and where exactly the origins of them emanated from. But then, Rooster dropped a bomb on me in the form of a true tale of a potential leprechaun encounter that shooketh me to my core. If you listen just right, you can actually (probably) hear the exact moment I stopped and thought, “wait, so these things are actually real and not just something out of a fairy tale?” It really opened my mind, and that’s honestly one of the things I love so much about Phone It In.

But, all of this led me to one burning question – and we always strive to ask the important questions here on SoBros Network – are leprechauns cryptids? Well, we do our best to answer that on this episode. What a tease, I know. I’ve heard it my whole life.

Also, this “Cryptid Tournament” that we keep speaking of on this show is definitely going to happen one of these days, and personally, I can’t wait.
