I’m flying solo on the most recent episode of The Unofficial Titans Podcast, one that I didn’t even know was going to get done until the morning it was recorded. *shrugs* I told y’all – life is busy right now. Anyway, given that our draft reaction episode was dominated by the new of the Tennessee Titans trading AJ Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles, and all of the Titans Twitter drama surrounding Ryan Tannehill, we didn’t really dedicate the time to dive into the actual draft picks like I wanted to.
So, that’s what this episode is all about – I take some time to dive into my reports on Treylon Burks, Roger McCreary, Nicholas Petit-Frere, Malik Willis, and Kyle Philips while also touching on the selections of Hassan Haskins, Chig Okonkwo, Theo Jackson, and Chance Campbell. If you really don’t want to give the podcast a try, I’ll sum it up in a single sentence: I really like this year’s class and the vision behind it. Whether it was intentional or not, this class looks like one that can add depth right away, but could also be solid foundational type of pieces (admittedly, that’s dependent upon several of these guys hitting their ceilings) for the future.
Then, I shift gears and talk about the recent NFL schedule release – as much as I’m just not a fan of breaking down the schedule in May, we at least have to mention it, right? I at least have to provide some insight on my initial thoughts on it even if it all could change in a week, right? Otherwise, what am I even doing trying to break through in the Titans content game?
Oh, and here are all my “full reports” that I reference on the show (and thank goodness the NPF piece was saved, after all!):
