Since I’m going to be out of office for the week, getting married, and celebrating the occasion with friends and family who have traveled literally from coast to coast to be here in Nashville with us, I didn’t want to just leave you high and dry with no SoBros Network content in my absence. So, over the course of the next week, I’ll be looking at and re-running some of my favorite shows, videos, and articles we’ve produced. Today, we’re going to look at the SoBros Consumer Report.
The Best of the SoBros Consumer Report
Four years….FOUR YEARS…I’ve been doing this stupid bit on the internet. And, for whatever reason, I’m still here doing it. SoBros Network was originally formulated with the idea of doing a little bit of everything – whatever we want, whenever we want – in mind. Sketch comedy has always been an ancillary interest of mine, so it was bound to happen at one point. To the full extent of my vision, I’d love for us to be able to put on an SNL-style show once a month or so, but we just don’t have the bandwidth or resources to do that just yet.
Anyway, like most of my ideas, the SoBros Consumer Report was rooted in the question of “hey, how can we make dumb shit funny?” I came up with this persona, decided to review everyday ordinary products, and four years later, I’m here compiling a list of my favorite episodes. LFG.
Festive Candy Jar – In case you were wondering, sometimes my “creative process” is literally just picking something up and laughing at the idea of using it as a prop in a video. That’s exactly how this clip was born, and I knew from the moment I formulated the idea that I was going to try and stick a sweet potato in this jar for some reason.
Candy Corn – A tie with a cloth polo….some of my best work, tbh.
Koozies – I wanted to do this over the course of an entire day, but didn’t have the patience for it. The idea that a koozie can keep a beverage ice cold for an exorbitant amount of time still makes me laugh. And, no, I do not care if I’m the only one laughing.
Bananas – I wanted to make this unintentionally sexy. That’s it. That was the whole idea.
Chess – Again…..how can we make dumb shit funny? Imagine reviewing chess by playing yourself in it.

It’s one of only a few that I’ve actually stuck with throughout the years, and for whatever reason, it’s one of the few things I do that people actually point out when I see them. I’d love to do more of these – maybe in the future I’ll dedicate more time to it.
