Since I’m going to be out of office for the week, getting married, and celebrating the occasion with friends and family who have traveled literally from coast to coast to be here in Nashville with us, I didn’t want to just leave you high and dry with no SoBros Network content in my absence. So, over the course of the next week, I’ll be looking at and re-running some of my favorite shows, videos, and articles we’ve produced. Today, we’re going to look at The SoBros Hot Minute.
The Best of The SoBros Hot Minute
It’s kind of wild to take all of this time this week to look back at all of the content we’ve created and put on the internet through the years. So much of it, I’ve even forgotten. I started this bit in September of 2017. Five years….FIVE YEARS…we’ve been going strong with the SoBros Hot Minute!
The plan for this one was simply just a way to get more video content out on the SoBros social platforms, but to do so in a digestible format that fit with the modern attention span. For me, this has probably been my biggest means of getting my comedy out into the world. I love doing these, and don’t plan on slowing down any time soon.
Alabama – link – To this day, I remain steadfast in my assertion that “the Alabama song “Dancin’ Shaggin’ on the Boulevard” is actually about people fucking in the middle of the street” is one of my greatest jokes I’ve ever written.
Bath & Body Works – link – So, there’s a little bit of art imitating life in some of my work. I legit love Bath & Body Works and was able to turn it into an internet bet. But, I remember this being one of the early episodes that got some positive feedback from folks and that encouraged me to keep the thing going.
Kokomo – link – I mean…why wouldn’t paying homage to the greatest summertime song of all time be one of my favorite episodes?
Mike Vrabel – link – This one really took off on Twitter as a lot of Titans Twitter passed it around. Knowing how Mike Vrable lurks on Twitter, I desperately hope he saw this video and saw some random dude crying because his wife is infatuated with him. *shrugs*
Gary Ashton vs. Mark Spain – It’s a Nashville-centric video, but I still love the “Gary Ashton and Mark Spain need to fight or fuck and get it over with” joke.
