Titans: What Have I Missed While I Was on Break?

Stoney Keeley catches up on the last couple weeks in Titans news.

I can’t leave y’all alone for two damn weeks without some crazy bullshit stirring up on the internet. In case you didn’t get the memo, I’ve been “out of office” for a couple of weeks because of my wedding and mini-moon, and now, I’m just getting back into the routine and catching up on my Tennessee Titans news. Considering it’s the end of May, I would’ve thought that there wouldn’t be shit to write about. But, thankfully, the tweets on Titans Twitter and the posts on Titans Facebook have given me plenty to weigh in on. Let’s catch up, shall we?

Treylon Burks – I get the paranoia, guys. I really do. Shit went sideways on draft night and the Titans found themselves in a really weird spot at wide receiver. It’s unfair to Burks, but that isn’t going to stop a certain sect of this fan base from breaking down every move he makes. So, he’s been in and out of practice a couple of times. We don’t really know the reasoning behind it, and I think the best the press can do is note it, ask Mike Vrabel about it, and work with what they get. Maybe something’s up. Maybe it isn’t. We don’t really know, and I tend to think no one should really be concerned until we start seeing issues like this in August. For now, who cares? I saw someone on Facebook insist that Jon Robinson made a huge mistake in drafting Burks….because he missed some time at OTAs? Really? Come on, y’all. We need to settle down here.

Ryan Tannehill – I love that Tannehill not only addressed MentorGate, but completely eviscerated it. And, what do we hear from all of those people who talked so much shit about #17? Crickets. I guess that’s how it works these days – bunch of cowards that can’t sack up and admit when they were wrong. And, we wonder why folks are growing increasingly frustrated with the media these days. Okay, I’m spiraling…let’s reel it in now.

Dez Fitzpatrick – I was wondering who this year’s All-Offseason Titans wide receiver was going to be. My money was on Mason Kinsey (again) because he seems to have a strong contingency of fan boys on the internet. But, I’m starting to wonder if it’s actually going to be Fitzpatrick because he started generating a little bit of buzz early on in the OTAs. Time will tell.

Dillon Radunz – I see everyone is pissed at PK yet again for asking whether or not Titans fans want to see a sense of humor out of a guy who has not lived up to expectations so far. I don’t know – I just don’t think people give a shit about that sort of thing anymore…or, it depends on the person, maybe? I don’t know, nor do I care. I’ve also seen people say that the Titans should start Logan Woodside at quarterback and move Tannehill to receiver, so let’s also not act like this is the wildest thing we’ve seen folks tweet about either.

Robert Woods – I know it’s just OTAs, but one Bobert Trees is looking pretty damn shifty out there. I think that has to be an encouraging sign for Titans fans hoping he hits the field sooner rather than later. Like everything else this time of year, you have to put it in the perspective. But, this is certainly better than seeing the coaches roll him around the practice field in a wheelchair or something, so at least we have that going for us.

Anything else I missed?
