It’s finally Friday. We’re free again – gettin’ our motors runnin’ for a wild weekend here on the SoBros Power Hour! This week, we welcome back our longtime friend of the brand, RighteousJesse, for some good old fashioned Power Hour fun. First up, we get a full report from the Nashville Punk Rock Flea Market, and we talk about the opening of Danger Zone Video and what Jesse sees for the shop.
Then, we shift gears and talk about our Nashville stories of the week, including FIFA passing on Nashville to host World Cup games, but what it means to see this city even garner consideration to begin with. We talk about this insane and oppressive heatwave, and how we’re all going to be cooked alive before this stretch ends late next week. We get into a bit of a career retrospective on Sheamus and I ask the question: “is Sheamus Nashville now?” There’s some Detroit style pizza talk and talk about Nashville’s underrated pizza scene as a whole after news broke that Emmy Squared would be opening up another location in East Nashville in June. Of course, I have to get Jesse’s opinion on the Wawa vs. Sheetz debate as we learned that Wawa is coming to Nashville in the near future.
After that, we broaden our scope and look at the country as a whole, talking about the weird new cryptid that just dropped at the Amarillo Zoo, a lady who showed up to a funeral to spit on the corpse, and a VHS copy of Back to the Future that sold for $75,000. Yeah – this one’s a hoot!
