I had been feeling like we were in for one of our “this one’s a doozy” episodes of Phone It In for quite some time. Not just that it’s a long episode (it is…at an hour and a half), but that it deals with some truly fucked up shit. And, boy, did Rooster deliver on July’s episode, as we really sank our teeth into the story of this camping trip gone horribly wrong. Two buddies decided to venture out to Devil’s Den in Arkansas and ended up having a life-altering experience that became probably the single wildest UFO story I’ve ever heard (unless we’re counting Skinwalker Ranch as UFOs).
There’s no better time to dig into a camping-gone-horribly-wrong story than in the summer time when most of us like to get out there and enjoy the great outdoors. So, might I recommend firing up this podcast around a campfire with friends. Or, maybe when you’re trying to sleep and notice that the forest around you has gone eerily quiet.
This one gets into a little bit of everything – odd light formations in the sky, some weird memory loss, fear, figures that look like children running into the woods, weird physical pains, sickness, and much more before it takes a real nose dive into some crazy psychic phenomenon, some government conspiracy stuff, and a little more surreal aspects that’ll have you questioning everything. As usual, it’s all told with our signature sense of humor on Phone It In.
