It’s hard to believe that the offseason football drought is over with. As training camp starts up, a sense of renewal is washing over the NFL. Football is back, everyone is 0-0, and everyone has their sights set on that Lombardi Trophy. It’s a good feeling, but it does mean that we’re also closing another chapter in the fabled history of #OffseasonContent here on The Unofficial Titans Podcast. The Tennessee Titans reported to training camp this week, and that means it’s time for Outspoken Owen Reed and myself to quit dilly-dallying in the past and look forward to 2022. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t take some time to catch up on what are probably the only real evergreen episodes of the show we’ll record all season!
*The Bills-Titans Rivalry – episode – Every year, I take a particular Titans rivalry and shine the spotlight on it in an episode. Given how competitive and heated the Bills rivalry has been in recent years, and that the two teams will meet on Monday Night Football during Week 2, I didn’t figure there would ever be a better time to look back at the history between the Titans and the Buffalo Bills.
*The Titans in Pop Culture – episode – Full credit to Owen for this one. It was his idea and it sent me down a rabbit hole, crawling the web to find every instance of the Titans showing up in pop culture that I could. We also looked at some known celebrity Titans fans, and instances in which celebrities were photographed wearing Titans gear. This one’s kinda weird.
*The Top 10 Wide Receivers in Tennessee Titans History – episode – Well, I can’t exactly remember why we picked this topic. I don’t think anything was going on at the time that would’ve inspired it – not like a former Titans receiver went on Twitter and claimed he was the best Titans receiver of all time or anything.
*Get to Know Canadian Titan – episode – This year, I wanted to spend an episode highlighting a fellow podcaster/content creator/Twitter scoundrel and my man Ethan Jordan was kind enough to take me up on the offer. Learn a little bit about Ethan, how he became a Titans fan, The Elite Titans Podcast, and his outlook for the 2022 season.
*What Makes Mike Vrabel Great – episode – Let’s take a dive into what exactly goes into being a “leader of men,” and why the head ball coach was such an easy selection for the NFL’s ‘Coach of the Year’ honors.
