Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…

Question, from Aura sitting right next to me:

Which is the uglier orange: Texas or Tennessee?

Answer:

It really depends on what we’re talking about here. If we’re just talking about the uniforms, then I go with the Vols all day every day. To me, it’s one of the most iconic looks and color combinations in college football history. It’s bright and vibrant where the Texas uniforms are a little tamer and dare I say, muddier. But, if you’re asking me if I’m going to put a Tennessee orange polo on to go down to the country club, the answer is “hell no.” I’m grabbing that burnt orange if I have to wear one of the two in public.

Question, from Dom via text:

Best place in Nashville for an anniversary meal

Answer:

Oh, man – where to start? Our buddy Zach from Football & Other F Words and A Football Show recently introduced my wife and I to Audrey. It was fantastic – the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion and to savor the experience of a great meal.

I would also add Etch to the conversation – they serve the best duck I’ve ever had in my life. And, Butcher & Bee for their creative menu and their location adjacent to several trendy spots in East Nashville. Barcelona Wine Bar would be another, more “regular” celebration spot of ours. Those would be my four recommendations: Audrey, Etch, Butcher & Bee, and Barcelona Wine Bar.

Question:

Answer:

Is that what the fuck is going on lately? I don’t know if it’s just me or what, but I do not seem to be having a good retrograde. I’m not sure how it works, but things have been tense, stressful, and frustrating lately. My chest is actually tightening just thinking about it.
