Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the ripe and underrated early fall fragrance, Ciderhouse.

It ain’t a fall fragrance if it ain’t got some fucking spice to it. Folks, that’s just what we have here with Ciderhouse, a scent that instantly became one of my favorite fall fragrances, and one that is absolutely perfect for this time of the year. I’ve never been the biggest fan of Macintosh despite it being one of Yankee’s most popular candles. I just don’t know what to do with it – it’s too straight up fruity, which typically makes for a good summer time fragrance….but it’s apple, and apple’s a fall fruit. FUCK! What am I supposed to do with that? What’s that? Calm down? CALM DOWN?!?! WHO CAN CALM DOWN AT A TIME LIKE THIS?

I’m sorry – as I was saying, the thing that I love the most about Ciderhouse is that that fresh ripe apple scent hits your nostrils right off the bat before subtly giving way to a nice undertone of fall spice. It’s like taking a shot of Macintosh and chasing it with Harvest. It’s just the right combination of each, and that makes it a great transition candle for this time of year, when summer isn’t exactly quite over with, but you’re starting to feel a little festive for the arrival of autumn.

Recommended burning: Just as you’ve gotten home from apple picking. Maybe the mood strikes you just right and you decide to disrobe and sit bare ass on the couch with a caramel apple Werther’s Originals soft caramel in your mouth and your sore feet in a tub of hot water.
