Kenneth Walker III Changed His Profile Pic to the Lady Giving Him the Double Birds

Kenneth Walker III is unbothered.

Big big afternoon on Sunday for those of us who bet the Seattle Seahawks at +4.5, and a big day for the actual Seahawks now that I think about it, as they rocked the Los Angeles Chargers 37-23 to get to 4-3 and the TOP…that’s right…TOP of the NFC West. They’re 3-1 in their last four games, averaging 34 points per game. Geno Smith is playing his ass off, and the Seahawks are actually low key pretty damn good right now just like every single one of us had drawn up back in August. That’s right! I never would’ve predicted that the Seahawks would be the worst team in the league – not me! Never! Anyway, part of this offensive turnaround (besides getting rid of Russell Wilson (sorry, couldn’t resist)) has been the emergence of rookie running back Kenneth Walker III.

Coming out of the 2022 NFL Draft, I thought Walker and Breece Hall were the clear top two guys, though each had his own distinct style. You could’ve made either the first running back selected and you’d hear no gripe from me. For Walker, landing in Seattle didn’t seem ideal at first…what’s that offense going to look like? How’s he going to be successful behind that offensive line? When will he get opportunities behind the resurgent Rashaad Penny? Well, we’ve seen the answers to those questions – that offense is lookin’ pretty damn good with Smith at the helm, the Seahawks might’ve just drafted their bookend tackles for the next 10 years in Charles Cross and Abe Lucas, and Penny went down with an injury a few weeks ago.

Walker was called upon to step up and he delivered. The dude’s gotten 21+ carries in each of the last two games. In his last three, he’s amassed 353 yards and four touchdowns. He’s well on his way to become a key cog in this Seahawks offense and when you’re mowing people down, you’re naturally going to make some enemies. Take the infamous Chargers fan who was caught in a photo double birding Walker. That photo went viral a couple of days ago and now Walker has in turn made that his profile picture on Twitter.

I love the energy here. Stock way up on Kenneth Walker III. You can’t make a more unbothered move than letting the haters know that their energy actually amuses you. That’s why I have “Dogs Playing Poker on velvet connoisseur” in my author bio below – that’s a deep cut for longtime SoBros readers, but I digress. There is no better example of “wave at the haters” on the internet this morning than this, and I am absolutely here for it. I’m here for this edgy Seahawks team too. I’m eager to see how far this team can go, but after guys like me shit on ’em all offseason, and hearing some of the rumblings that have come out about Wilson in Denver, I think this is a team that has a massive chip on its shoulder. How far can they go? We’ll see, but I’ll you what…the Seahawks look like surprise contenders in the NFC playoff race so far.
