Folks, it is officially time. We are gathered here today to determine who really has the best Nashville sports podcast in all of Al Gore’s internet. After weeks of combing through submissions, I’ve decided to narrow the list down to three. By virtue of winning the 2021 award, Football & Other F Words is back to defend their crown. By virtue of winning the 2021 Best Nashville Sports Podcast Not to Be Nominated for Best Nashville Sports Podcast award, the Titan Up Podcast crew is in the field this year. And, by virtue of winning the “fan nomination” as the show that the most people mentioned to me on social media, Lamestream Sports earns its first nomination for this illustrious award.
I would like to be the first to congratulate all three of the nominees for this fine, prestigious award. You’ve all had a helluva year. I don’t want to make any promises that I can’t keep, but I will mention that last year’s winner was invited to eat brussel sprouts on The Buck Reising Show, nbd. This is a highly official award and should be respected as such. I have absolutely no problem saying that the winner of this award is the heart of Nashville sports talk. The winners just might parlay this into a nationally syndicated program on Tubi. Sorry, that’s not true. I’m getting carried away because of all this excitement.
Now, I understand that the announcement of this award has not come without controversy. I have been accused of collusion, and after consulting my legal counsel, I feel I can address these accusations.

Let me say this clearly – I would never….NEVER…exchange an award that I take as seriously as this one for Lizzo tickets. That’s the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I mean…like, I won’t turn down Lizzo tickets…but I’m not explicitly stating “you’re going to get this award for Lizzo tickets,” y’know? No collusion here. I am a man of integrity.
