One of my favorite things about the Senior Bowl is to watch who is out there fighting day in and day out. I’m talking about the dudes who don’t have the cameras on them all the time…the dudes who aren’t getting the love on NFL Network…the players who aren’t projected to go in the early rounds…hell, some probably have UDFA grades! There’s always a class of guys who step up and shine in the practices because they are just relentless and scrappy. I think that’s an underrated trait – it shows who is going to get into a camp with a NFL team and really push the people ahead of them on the depth chart. Even if they don’t win a starting job, they’re going to make the position group around them better because you’re going to have to wrestle the job away from ’em like trying to get something out of a dog’s mouth it shouldn’t have. Today, I’m going to be sharing a list of the guys who have stood out to me in this regard all week….the guys who, quite simply, got that dawg in ’em.
Senior Bowl “Got That Dawg in Him” List
DL Adetomiwa Adebawore – the Northwestern defensive lineman has been in there scrapping all week long. He’s a disruptive force in the interior pass rush, and he absolutely pissed off Jarrett Patterson in yesterday’s practice.
C/G Jake Andrews – One of my notes on Andrews this week read, “if he’s going down, you’re going down with him.” He’s on the smaller side of the center position, and there have been times that his lack of ideal size came back to bite him. But, he’s a wrestler that sticks to you when he gets his hands on you.
CB Anthony Johnson – He has a reputation for being a bit grabby, but I say that’s just the nature of the beast with a physical corner like Johnson. He’s had a really good week, and he’s a guy that is unafraid to go toe-to-toe with any receiver here in Mobile this week.
LB Cam Jones – I was studying another linebacker, and Jones just kept grabbing my attention for his heady play, but also his propensity to crash on a play. He’s a violent runner that I’d imagine you don’t want to meet in the open field.
Scouting other linebackers this week, but #Indiana LB Cam Jones kept showing up in different ways and commanding my attention, including nice flashes as a potential pass rusher. #SeniorBowl

LB Aubrey Miller Jr. – Miller is built like a tank and he’s going to knock you out of your cleats if you’re not ready for him when he hits the hole. He is stacked, jacked, and ready to kick some ass.
OT Wanya Morris – There are some good offensive tackles down here this week, but Morris deserves some credit for how his tenacity has stood out among the group. He may not be the most polished guy, but he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty no matter who he’s lined up against. They played him at left tackle and at right tackle this week, and he played each spot with a lot of heart.
LB Ivan Pace Jr. – the linebacker out of Cincinnati plays like a Tasmanian devil. He was an outright menace taking on this group of running backs in the one-on-one drills, and looks like he’s champing at the bit to hit someone.
DL Jalen Redmond – Redmond certainly didn’t win every rep he had, but he was constantly driving his feet, and he has shown flashes of an innate ability to slip by guards and generate pressure on the quarterback. He plays to the whistle and gave it everything he had on every rep of his that I watched.
