Editor’s Note: “It’s a proud day here on SoBros Network! My 10-year-old nephew, Xavier, wanted to pitch in on our coverage of Marvel’s latest release, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. So, he decided to sit down and write his very first movie review. What follows is his full 500-word (spoiler-free) piece on our latest journey into the Quantum Realm! Take it away, Xavier!” -Stoney
Xavier’s Review of Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania
Rating: 8/10. In my opinion, I thought the movie was great. I loved the CGI better than most movies, it was hilarious, and I liked how they brought back characters as new characters/new character cameos.

I loved the CGI, like the fact that they could make it look so real was incredible! Though we all know the movie was completely fiction, the blasts of energy from Kang, to all the aliens and spaceships looked so real! Another reason why I like the CGI is that it is much better than most Marvel movies. For example, Black Widow was not the best movie because of a couple reasons, one of them is because of the CGI. The CGI was not good in Black Widow…unrealistic. Meanwhile, you got movies like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Avengers: Endgame, and Quantumania which have amazing and realistic CGI. In conclusion, Quantumania has great CGI.
Another reason why I like Quantumania is that it is HILARIOUS. From the beginning (which you saw in the trailer), when the coffee shop worker called Scott “Spider-Man,” it was so funny. Another reason to support this is that some jokes that M.O.D.O.K, Cassie, Hank, or Scott told made the whole theater laugh. Though that is expected in a Marvel movie, this one was above how funny a Marvel film should be. In conclusion, Quantumania is very funny.
Last reason why I like Quantumania is all the new and brought-back character cameos. For instance, there were some characters that were in the comics that were not introduced in the MCU yet that got introduced in this movie. I also love that they brought back characters that you thought were never coming back to the MCU. You might be surprised at how they brought back one character. (NO SPOILERS!!!!)
Againsts
I believe that they should have put more Wasp in the movie because it is called “Ant-Man and The Wasp,” not “Ant-Man and Cassie.” And, Kang wasn’t a great villain.
One con for this is the title. They showed way too much Cassie and not enough Wasp. I like how they introduced Cassie into the MCU and showed how she might be the next Ant-themed superhero, but they needed to do it another way. THEY NEED TO SHOW MORE WASP!!
Last con for this is Kang. He is a great villain overall, but he could have destroyed all of them in a move of his fingers. They just needed to show his power. I didn’t really like his bodyguards though. KANG IS THE BODYGUARD! Like he destroyed timelines, but he couldn’t stop a guy who can shrink and grow!
Conclusion
In conclusion, I thought that Quantumania was a great movie. It just needed some tiny adjustments. So I recommend you to watch it, whether in theaters or on Disney+!
