Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the rich and fruitful scent, Sweet Plum Sake.
To me, there is quite literally no feeling on Earth like discovering a new Yankee Candle fragrance, getting it home, and then finding out it is an instant classic. Yes, sex is cool and all, but have you ever felt the comfort of a new scent that just taps into the spirit of the season perfectly?!?! That’s Sweet Plum Sake for me.
If you’ve been keeping up with my Yankee Candle Reviews for awhile now, then you know that I find this time of year to be the trickiest. They make plenty of candles for spring, summer, fall, and Christmas. But, that run from January-February to get you through to the spring is just a no man’s land of fragrance. I’ve managed to piece together a rotation of my favorite winter candles, and I’m happy to say that Sweet Plum Sake belongs in the conversation among the elite Valentine’s Day scents. It’s just perfect for this time of year. You have the fruity notes of the plum, some sweetness, and a grounding alcohol scent that makes it much more complex than a basic fruit scent. Check out my full review on YouTube embedded below for my full explanation of why this is such a good candle.
Recommended burning: You’ve just gotten home from a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at PF Chang’s. You’ve given your lover a fresh batch of chocolate covered strawberries. Your lover pours some champagne. The scent of Sweet Plum Sake permeates the air as you eagerly perform some foot play you’ve both been dying to try out.
