We’re Coming Back to the Watertown Mile-Long Yard Sale in 2023

For the first time in four years, the SoBros are going to the Watertown mile-long yard sale.

Nashville, mark your calendars. On Saturday, April 15th, the spring mile-long yard sale returns to Watertown, Tennessee. And, in case you all missed the memo, the SoBros Network will be BACK for this time-honored Wilson County tradition. That’s right – I’ve paid my booth fee and, rain or shine, I’m going to have a few tables set up to sell some junk, some merch, maybe even a few collectibles, and stash some cash in the SoBros piggy bank. The last time we did this, we ended up making $413, which was absolutely absurd. Now, that was on a fine spring day, so who knows what will happen if it actually rains? I don’t want to think about that.

Nonetheless, I love this event. I’ve been going to it ever since I was a kid. For me, it’s almost like a rite of spring here in Middle Tennessee. Sure, there’s daylight savings time, WrestleMania, and the actual start of spring on the calendar. But, we’re not REALLY changing seasons until we’ve been to the Watertown mile-long yard sale. I know nothing about where this tradition started, but I can tell you that it started for me when I was a kid. I can remember my dad getting a lawnmower there for like $35. I’ve bought tons of comic books throughout the years. In 2018, we found a box of porn for sale that we almost left town with because wouldn’t you want to see what was on those videos too?!?! Back in 2019, I even got a zebra clock.

As for what you can expect from our booth, we’ll have a little bit of everything. I’ve heard from like eight different people who are putting together boxes of stuff for sale. I have no idea what it is, and I probably won’t know until the morning of. That’s exciting. I’ll have a stock of some shirts from the SoBros Shop to sell ($10 flat…event special!) And, I might have a couple bins of my comics and Funko Pops to sell…not the good stuff because everyone’s hunting for deals that day…but some of my cheaper stuff. We’ll have some books, and of course, Brandon is pulling the DVD bin out of storage. We’re going to have a shit load of movies. This year, I might even make sure that the DVDs in the cases actually match what’s on the case so that we don’t send someone home with a copy of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation when they think they just bought Minority Report.

One thing we can always count on, though…even if we don’t sell a dime, this event is good for some nice content. Be sure to follow me on Twitter so you can stay up to date with live updates from the scene in Watertown…again…rain or shine.
