Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the rich and fresh new spring fragrance, Twilight Tunes.

I’m always lookin’ for the off-the-beaten-path stuff when it comes to Yankee Candle. And, we all know they are the top of the class when it comes to vague candle titles that don’t really imply a particular fragrance. Nah, sometimes, they want to put a vibe in a candle and that’s exactly what they’ve done with Twilight Tunes. I’ll say…it smells like some random amalgamation of all the classic spring fragrances rolled into one. It’s fresh. It’s floral. It’s catching the scent of a world in bloom with a gust of wind rushing by your face. For that, it has a sturdy spot among the spring rotation.

Now, what it doesn’t smell like is a music festival, which is what the candle claims the scent is based off of. Has anyone at Yankee Candle ever been to a music festival? Because beautiful spring flowers is the last thing it smells like. People are pissing, puking, and shitting all over the place. If you’re outdoors, there’s undoubtedly a cloud of pot smoke in the air. You get a nice whiff of garbage when the wind blows. Everyone is super sweaty, and by the end of the night, you all end up smelling like Broadway at 5AM. Also, if you’ve never smelled Broadway, here in Nashville, at 5AM the morning after a big party night…go check it out some time. My point is….Yankee Candle definitely gets an A+ for this candle, but a D- in awareness for trying to say this thing draws out the experience of a live music festival.

Recommended burning: You’ve just gotten home from the music festival. Someone spilled their beer on you, you spit up a bit on your own shirt and didn’t know it, and you reek of marijuana. You desperately need to cleanse the air. No, this isn’t a “vibes” thing. This is a “holy shit it stinks in here” kind of thing. Twilight Tunes can be that fresh cleanse you need.
