It is the phenomenon sweeping the nation. The Barbie vs. Oppenheimer battle is reaching a fever pitch here on the internet. In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last six months, both of these films are going to hit theaters on July 21st, 2023. Instead of owning their own weekends, they’re going to duke it out at the box office. Lives are on the line. This is going to be the fight of the century. People might die – I don’t know. I don’t know how crazy this thing is going to get. Anyway, as we approach the finish line in this race and the moment of truth draws near, it appears as though marketing efforts are also reaching a fever pitch. Folks – the Barbie Dreamhouse has come to life.

If anyone is looking for any last minute birthday gift ideas for me since today is my birthday, here’s your sign. Get me a night in the Barbie Dreamhouse. I hear you can put in a request to stay there on AirBnB, which means you’ll probably have to give up a kidney in fees, but go ahead. I’m sure it’s worth it. It has multiple relaxation areas. It has a dance floor. There’s a water slide. There is no telling what could happen in that thing – the possibilities are endless. I have always wanted to feel like an action figure living inside a giant toy…this may be the only chance I get at it. I’m ready to risk it all to get this opportunity.
This is like the Civil War – you have to pick a side, and I’ve made my choice. I’m full-on Team Barbie. I’m sorry to anyone this offends, but I will see any movie that Ryan Gosling ever makes. Christopher Nolan will get my money, but it won’t be on opening weekend. Now…is this Barbie movie going to be any good? I have no idea. But, just watch the trailers, look at the energy, and look at the talent involved with this project. It is bursting with vibes – you can quote me on that. Put that on the poster. Oh, how could I forget? This news brought forth one of the best memes of the week too!
