If You Want 20 Slices of Cheese on a Burger, Burger King Thailand Has You Covered

How 'bout this gargantuan disgusting cheese sandwich that Burger King is dishing out in Thailand?

Who need they beesechussy ate? Well, you can get awfully gross at Burger King in Thailand, where they’ve apparently started selling a sandwich that is like an entire package of Kraft slices nestled between two buns. I can’t tell if this is disgusting, or one of the easiest, cheesiest, and most genius ways to drum up interest in Burger King. I think it’s probably a little bit of both because my stomach hurts, but also, I’m writing a blog about Burger King in Thailand despite being completely across the world in Nashville, Tennessee. *shrugs*

Courtesy of CNN:

This week, the Thai operator of the fast food chain introduced what it calls the “real cheeseburger,” a bun filled with as many as 20 slices of American cheese.

People are actually trying this thing, too. At an alarming rate, no less. CNN’s story goes on to mention how they had to stop taking orders for them at one point because they were running out of inventory for the folks stopping by to eat in the dining room. This whole thing just feels a little out of control to me. It feels like a skit from Saturday Night Live. Why stop at 20? Why not put 40 slices of cheese on this thing? Why are we limiting our decadence? Just embrace the impending cardiac event. What a way to go out.

The reviews? Shocker – people are calling this “too much” and “too intense.” Yeah, no shit. It’s over 2,000 calories WORTH OF CHEESE. That is INSANE! This one falls into the category of things I’d eat for content, but for no other reason. I can’t imagine looking at this thing and thinking it’s appetizing. Have you ever gotten a hankering for an entire block of cheese? Wait – don’t answer that. We’re going to give this thing some credence if we do.

There is apart of me that does hope that this is what the rest of the world thinks of America. Like, the novelty of it all – “you can be an American by eating 20 slices of cheese on a bun.” I’m dying. I’m cracking up. How did we get here? I don’t know, but I feel a pit in my stomach every time that damn photo pops up on my feed.
