Orange and pink splashes across the sky
Sunset atop Lookout Mountain.
Tunes permeate Broadway.
From the Smokies to Beale,
All the majesty in between.
This is home.
I thought that’s why I loved it.

She’s a Jersey girl.
The allure of Nashville’s song
brought her down here.
We met at a party.
Blue Raiders together,
and she’s lived here ever since.

I like to think I had something to do with that.
But, I think she saw nature’s splendor here,
Heard the sounds of our city.
Now I know why I love it, and it’s not just me.
