Listen…we all know that being a cop exposes you to some incredibly difficult shit to deal with. I’m not here to argue about that today. I’m just here to pile on after this video of a Boston cop taking a tumble down a slide went viral yesterday. I swear I saw this thing every 20 minutes on my X feed. And, really…with all due respect, for good reason. This is almost unbelievable because of how catastrophically bad it is.

This is a perfect video. 10/10, no notes. I didn’t think it was possible to go down a slide….a child’s slide….so violently. Apparently, our boy here took a funny step or something and ended up careening down this slide, being spat out across the ground.
There’s so much to love about this video, too. For one, it starts pretty well right away with the noise of his body bouncing around the inside of that big metal tube. There’s the giggle from whoever is filming. There’s the body going right off the tracks. It looks like he even takes a rail to the nuts, which…if you have a pair of nuts on you, you know just how bad of a situation that is to be in. Then, there’s the scraping of his skin across the pavement, followed up by an audible “fuck.” Like I said, 10/10 no notes. If you want to put this thing on repeat for the next 30 minutes, by all means, feel free. Be my guest. I have watched this thing no less than one million times already.
I’m kind of intrigued by the physics of it, too. Like, I kind of want to try and recreate this thing. He had to have hit that thing in a one-in-a-million type of way for the result to be so disastrous. I need to know exactly how it happened. Also, there’s absolutely no way this is safe for kids. But, we’re just going to ignore that and meme our way through it for now. Keep ’em coming.
