I like to think I’m tough. Those of you who have known me for a long time know that I have done some dumb, dumb shit in my days. That’s probably why I have a current tally of five concussions, and it’s probably why my back and knees hurt when I get out of bed every single morning. Like they say, if you’re going to be dumb, you gotta be tough! Therefore, leveraging that logic, I am tough. That said, I still don’t believe that I’m tough enough to back down a black bear in the wild if one were to stroll up to the barbecue to rummage around and fix a plate. Man, I tell y’all what…if that was me, I would’ve got my ass slashed wide open by that bear after I tried to hit it with a frying pan. I don’t think I would have the resolve or the undaunted courage that Mike here had to just patiently stare this thing down and dog walk it out of the barbecue. That bear would’ve bent me over that guardrail and taken any part of me he wanted. That bear would’ve slashed my face wide open, making that thing look like Predator when he hisses at you. It would’ve been 10 times worse than the ambulance scene in Cocaine Bear.
But, not for Mike here. He took that swipe to the gut like it was nothin’ and told that bear to not let the door hit him where the good lord split him! We stan a bear fighting king. We stan Mike. Every social circle on the planet, especially the ones that like to go camping and have cookouts in bear territory, needs a Mike.
