Located in the hills of the Scottish Highlands, Shrek’s Swamp is a stumpy, secluded haven fit for a solitude-seeking ogre… and for the first time ever, a handful of his biggest fans, thanks to yours truly. I’m swamp-sitting while Shrek’s away this Halloween, and I’m absolutely delighted to invite you in for a fairytale stay. Oh, and never mind the “BEWARE” signs. They’re probably for decoration.
Probably for decoration? Holy shit, could you imagine if you get out to this thing and a real life ogre comes barreling through the woods, eats your children, and then stomps a mudhole in your ass? Terrifying! I’m going to need a little more concrete guarantee to feel comfortable shelling out this type of dough, AirBnB. We don’t even know how much this thing is going to cost, but you get my point. No deal is worth getting my limbs ripped apart by a real life Shrek (I don’t think, but check back with me after another shift at the day job).
I’ve always wanted to see and experience the Scottish Highlands, but I don’t know if I wanted it like this.
