Every year I come down here, I look at the weather, it’s supposed to be overcast and then the sun comes out on Day 1 and I’m roasted. Then, we have to make an emergency run to Walgreen’s to get sunscreen and I’m okay for the rest of the week. I’m not falling for it again. Day 1 sunscreen from here on.

I think they’ll be pretty good. I like the base Lane Kiffin has established there as a master of the transfer portal and an offensive guru getting the most out of his players.

Top safety at practice?

Answer:

Dom, I admit that I didn’t watch the safeties a whole lot this week, but one guy that kept standing out to me was Oregon safety Evan Williams. I’m stoked to go back and watch some of his tape – he was sticky in coverage and had some nicely timed breaks to get his hand in the throwing window for PBUs. Good stuff from a guy who figures to be a Day 3 and would be a solid addition to the Titans secondary.

And top LB?

I honestly have no idea. We’ve been pretty disappointed in the linebackers down here this week. It’s a group of guys that haven’t stood out as a whole. Now that I stop and think about it, no one down here has been talking about any of these linebackers. It’s a tough year to want a real difference maker at the position in the draft. To throw you a bone, I’ll say UNC’s Cedric Gray caught my eye in coverage a couple of times. Cal’s Jackson Sirmon has a nice build and made a couple of plays on Day 3 of practice.
