Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…
Question:
What is your first ass eating experience and please rate it 1-10
— Titan Travis (@Titantravis08) March 21, 2024
Answer:
I love the memes and the internet bit that ‘eating ass’ has become, but is this something that the kids are actually doing these days? Is it a major drawing point for a potential suitor? Maybe I am just an old. Maybe the generations have passed me by.
Question:
Not a question but a little thought exercise. Cast an X-Men movie using the WWE roster.
— brett (@thebrettclark) March 21, 2024
Answer:
Oh, this is fun….let’s go with:
- Wolverine: Roman Reigns
- Cyclops: Cody Rhodes
- Gambit: Seth Rollins
- Beast: Drew McIntyre
- Nightcrawler: Santos Escobar
- Rogue: Becky Lynch
- Storm: Jade Cargill
- Colossus: Gunther
- Jean Grey: Charlotte Flair (Dark Phoenix: Rhea Ripley)
- Iceman: Austin Theory
Question:
With March Madness happening now, the argument can be made that this time of the year is the best for the sports fan. But in your opinion, which time of the year is the best?
— Ed Helinski 🇺🇸🇵🇱 (@MrEd315) March 21, 2024
Answer:
Ed, I was actually just talking about this on a recent episode of the SoBros Power Hour. I think this is one of the more underrated spots of the sports calendar. You have March Madness, the NFL Draft, playoff pushes in the NBA and NHL, MLS is underway, and MLB is about to fire up. Hell, if you consider WWE among “sports,” it’s even WrestleMania season! Personally, my favorites are October, when we get into the meat of the football schedule, there’s playoff baseball and soccer, the NHL and NBA are firing up, and we have quality sports to watch each and every night of the week. I’m also a sucker for bowl season and Christmas Day basketball in December…but I think late March and December are neck-and-neck behind October for me.
Question:
Second one. Who will be the better player? AD Mitchell or Braden Fiske
— Titan Travis (@Titantravis08) March 21, 2024
Answer:
This might be controversial, but I go Fiske here. I think he has a specialized role in the NFL ahead of him with his quick first step, burst, and power. I’m not as high on Mitchell as the consensus.
Question, from Owen on Instagram:
What’s got Bucky so pissed off?
Answer:
This is in reference to the photo I put out on Instagram to call for mailbag questions there, of course:
He was super pissed because this week’s episode of Phone It In ran beyond his usual feeding time. If he doesn’t have food in his bowl at precisely the same moment every single day, he starts gettin’ pissed. He smacked me on the leg not too long after this photo was taken.
Question:
What’s the end goal for your hair?
— Ryan Watson (@RyanOnBroadway) March 21, 2024
Answer:
No plan whatsoever, my friend. I will say that it’s starting to get about as long as I want it, so I’ll probably go for a trim soon, but I actually like it long. Probably gonna roll with it for awhile (subject to change 5 minutes into the first 100-degree day of the summer).
Question, from Olivia on Instagram:
What was your very first email address?
Answer:
If I’m not mistaken, it was aDiDaStOnEy741@aol.com…might have been usedstones@aol.com too…can’t recall for sure, but one of those two.
Question, from Zach on Instagram:
Would you rather have your entire body shaved head to toe by your MIL or best friend?
Answer:
Oh, it’s my best friend easily – already seen me fully nude, so I’d feel no shame in that.
Question, from Dave on Instagram:
Is the work worth it? Do you truly love it like it seems you do?
Answer:
Damn, Dave…I don’t know why, but this question made me emotional for some reason. I think it’s because I do deeply care about the work we do, but I don’t hear from people that I’m doing okay that often. A lot of the stuff I write or record just goes out into the ether, and I have no idea if my vision is getting across. To hear that it does seem like I love the work means a lot because I am passionate about my work, and I hope that shines through. I’ve been able to do a lot of really cool things because of SoBros Network, and I feel greatly rewarded for that, but I don’t think I’ve given myself more than $20 from the SoBros piggy bank. I don’t take a payday and the company doesn’t make a lot of money. For that reason, I think if you asked, most people would say the work is not worth it. It’s a lot for essentially nothing. But, it’s worth a lot to me. It’s about legacy. It’s about opportunity. And, it’s the chance to create something fulfilling and have that outlet. I have a pretty bleak world outlook, so I need a dream to chase and SoBros Network gives me that, so it’s invaluable to me. And, that’s also the same reason I love it all so much.
