You guys wanna know what my “love of the game” levels are? I, in my nearly 38 years on this Earth, never watched Finding Nemo. I have a near-crippling phobia of sharks and the deep ocean. Back in 2003, there was no way I was sitting through this shit. But, when Brandon and McCash landed on it for this season of Drinking With…, I didn’t say a word. It was time to overcome my fears. That’s exactly what I did. No big deal or anything, I just live for this shit.
Anyway, I saw this film for the first time in preparation for this podcast a couple of weeks ago. Even now, it’s easy to see how the animation in this joint was revolutionary. I remember hearing at the time of its release that it was, and even after all the years, I can watch this film and see how it dazzled back in 2003. So, it was fun to relive that. Plus, you just can’t go wrong with peak Pixar. Like many of their best stories, this one had some heart. It was a pleasure going into battle against my mind to talk about with Brandon and McCash. If you’re new here, or guy McCash always finds a themed cocktail to go along with the movie we’re discussing. This month, he found the “Finding Nemo.” Pour one up and enjoy our most recent episode with it.
To make the Finding Nemo cocktail, you’ll need:
-1oz Vodka
-1oz Coconut Rum
-1/4 Blue Curacao
-1/2 Lime Juice
-1/4oz Pineapple Juice
-Splash of Sprite
Directions:
- Garnish with a Swedish Fish
- Pour all of the ingredients minus the fish into a shaker and shake.
- Strain into a rocks glass full of ice and top with the Swedish Fish.
