Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…

Question:

Answer:

My buddy Sean shipped that hat down to me courtesy of Savior Clothing. It’s a fantastic hat. They also have a “Tits up” shirt that I might have to snag at one point too.

Question:

Answer:

Underrated….I think I’m going Michael Rooker as Yondu. The Guardians film have some major heart, but I think people undersell just how much of that comes from Yondu, and Rooker’s performance as him is equal parts snakelike, hilarious, and by the end, heartfelt.

Overrated…this might be controversial, but I think I’m going Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. I don’t know what it is, but I never really got invested in that character.

Question:

Answer:

RDJ crushes it as Iron Man but I’ve seen people suggest he should be getting Oscar noms, and that’s just too far for me to go with it. He’d be my answer for this if not for that cult of fans. Instead, I’m going with Tom Hiddleston as Loki. People give him his due, and we all seem to agree that he’s one of the MCU’s instances of “this actor was practically built in a lab to play this role.” But, we never go overboard with that (at least that I’ve seen). He’s good, we acknowledge he’s good, and we leave it at that.

Question:

Answer:

Man, animals are wild. I think most people overrate their ability to take on a wild animal of any kind in a life or death situation. I’m a realist. I’m probably not taking anything that I can’t pick up and swing into a nearby tree or building repeatedly. I’m going with “goat.”

Question:

Answer:

I just searched the site and this is the third time you’ve asked me this question, Eldon, and I’m still not going to answer it.

Question:

Answer:

I don’t personally have anything against blue cheese, but to my palate, the tang of blue cheese clashes with the tang of a good buffalo sauce. I don’t like that…I need something in there to mellow it out. I like blue cheese on a burger, where the savory rich beef flavor mellows out the blue cheese. But, I need the ranch with my wings to mellow out that buffalo sauce. I can’t have the two strong flavors going toe to toe. Give me ranch here.

Question:

Answer:

I’m going to moderate it. Every time you interrupt your opponent, I’m going to get up and punch you in the face. That simple.

Question:

Answer:

I’m going Ditto because Ditto is good at adapting and adjusting. I’m going Eevee because Eevee can evolve into multiple things. But, the easy answer here (if we’re NOT disqualifying legendaries) is Mewtwo. Mewtwo is the Bill Belichick of Pokemon.

Question:

Answer:

“The Taste of Ink” by The Used

Question:

Answer:

I have no idea what this means and at this point, I’m too afraid to ask.
