ICYMI: The latest episode of Phone It In tackles the life and times of Edgar Allan Poe!

I’m a big fan of Edgar Allan Poe’s work. I read The Masque of the Red Death when I was in elementary school and was scarred…or maybe ‘inspired’ is the better word…for life. I have been on my macabre sad boi shit ever since then. There may be no greater sad boi in the history of sad bois than the man we’re here to talk about on this episode of Phone It In. From his childhood to his death, we offer a glimpse into the life and times of one of American literature’s stalwarts. And, the most fun part was learning new things about Poe that I wasn’t previously aware of – like the fact that he was actually athletic, and the fact that he was a bit of a ladies man back in the day. We’re also quite weirded out about the whole “marrying your 13-year-old cousin” thing too, but that’s neither here nor there.
