I always love it when Rooster brings a conspiracy theory that I haven’t heard to the table when we plan out our episodes for Phone It In. That was the case for the Philadelphia Experiment in our most recent episode. The theory was based off of testimony that the US Navy was experimenting with the idea of making ships invisible and/or teleporting them to other locations. Now, there’s no reporting on this supposed experiment, so in earnest, it comes across as the ravings of a single man. Stories of men going insane after being exposed to the experiment, or worse, being melded into the side of the ship, give it an unbelievable quality, sure. But, when we finally get to where we’re going with this theory, I’m left with an odd question about what was really going on here – tune in and you’ll find out why Rooster and I are in agreement that there may just be questions worth asking that arose out of this fun little tinfoil hat theory.
