Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, we’re heading back in time to a bygone era for a sniff of Sea Harbor.
We’re taking a trip into the way back machine on this edition of Yankee Candle Reviews. For those that may not know, I’m working on a Yankee Candle-inspired book of poetry and photography. I’ve already written a piece on Sea Harbor, but I didn’t have the candle. You don’t see it too often any longer, so I knew it would be hard to come by. For the first time in my life, I had to go to the ol’ eBay machine and look for it. At least that meant I could go hunting for the old style label, the GOAT style label, which I love.
The scent is just as nautical as the day I first smelled it, so I was happy and relived to be hit with a wave of nostalgia. There’s something about it that just smells like that fresh sea air….but not like…the tropical tiki bar fresh sea air…more the “shipyard” fresh sea air. There’s a slight musk to it…as if Midsummers Night was doused in saltwater. I love it still to this day.
Recommended Burning: You’ve been strolling around this sleepy beach town all day awaiting for the return of your long lost love. The sea may have claimed her years ago, but you’re still hopeful to see that ship roll into the dock. A sailor walks by, and maybe it was just the gust of wind off the sea that hit you just right, but the scent of saltwater washed over the man’s musk. You had never thought of experimenting with a man, but in this moment, you were questioning your own conviction. You go back to your AirBnB, light Sea Harbor, and find the weirdest section of your adult video site of choice to help you alleviate your built-up tension.
