The Gilded Age is a fun period of history to look back on. It’s like there was enough technology that people could start doing some cool shit, but they also believed in magic still. I don’t know – this might be a bit macabre, but I go back to something Rooster said on the most recent episode of Phone It In – it was stupid easy to get away with murder back then. I think that sums it up. Nonetheless, whenever a topic from that era pops up, I tend to glow a bit. That’s no different for this most recent episode of Phone It In, for which our good buddy TK DM’ed me a show idea about a conspiracy theory I had never heard before: did fabled tycoon JP Morgan actually have something to do with the sinking of the Titanic? Fair warning – the theory unravels pretty quickly, but that doesn’t mean that Rooster and I can’t have some fun with it!
