It’s really weird to walk into a Walmart at the end of September and find that they’re already starting to put out the Christmas stuff. It’s like they’ve already cycled through all of the Halloween stuff and it’s onto the next thing before we even flip our calendars to October. Stop this train, man. Stop this train. Time moves so quickly. But, I digress. My point here is that the holiday items are already starting to hit shelves, and if you blink, you might miss it the way things are going these days.
Cremo is one of the few body washes that I rotate through – love some Bath & Body Works stuff…they have a fantastic men’s collection…I love Harry’s…and I love Cremo. That’s why I was ecstatic to walk by an end cap in my local Walmart and find that Cremo is releasing a line of festive holiday scents. Holiday fragrances are not exactly a new trend, but I can’t recall ever seeing a line of holiday body wash just for men. Color me intrigued – I had to have a bottle.
They have three options available – when I picked up my bottle, all three were available. The display was full, so I might have even caught them after they had just put it out there. There’s a Mulled Pomegranate fragrance that I will probably try next if these things don’t just fly off the shelves. There’s a Winter Woods fragrance…which…of course! Why wouldn’t you want to smell like a Christmas tree all December long? Ultimately, I landed on the third option, Fireside Vanilla.
I’m not thrilled about jumping the gun on the holidays. I bought this bottle with every intention of stashing it until November 1st. By the way, where are all the Halloween fragrances? I want to smell like candy corn for the next three weeks. Anyway, considering I had some important journalism to do here to review this product for the masses, I admit that I have cheated. I have already taken a single shower using the new Fireside Vanilla body wash. It is fantastic – it’s a very full-bodied scent that warms the olfactory system. It features hints of sandalwood, rich vanilla, and to me, the note that really sets this thing over the top, a little spiced rum. The thing about Cremo body wash is that it really sets in. I can smell my arm later in the day and still catch notes of that body wash.
These new festive fragrances are available for $7.97 at Walmart. But, I would encourage you to not wait. You have to buy this stuff NOW or it’ll be gone by the time you get to it. I mean, hell…I just went to Target over the weekend and they’ve already sold down half their Halloween stuff and are starting to mark it down! Who cares that we’re still weeks away from Halloween? This thing’s rolling right along to Christmas. If you wait until November or December, good luck. You’ve been warned.
