As we continue to wind down for the year here on SoBros Network, I’m looking back on some of my favorite podcasts that we’ve done in 2025. Today, we’re headed over to the Nashville Movie Dispatch archives for a look at my favorite episodes of The Vick’s Flicks Podcast this year!
The Best of the Vick’s Flicks Podcast, 2025
Ep. 164: ‘Clown In A Cornfield’ Review – Apple Podcasts – It’s always fun when our friends Brittany and Jesse from Danger Zone Video get to stop by the studio. Brandon checked in with them after the release of Clown in a Cornfield to see what they thought of the film and how it plays as a fine introduction to horror, but little more.
Ep. 165: The ‘Mission: Impossible’ Franchise – Apple Podcasts – The legend of Tom Cruise has reached new heights in large part due to his insane stunt work on this franchise. Rightfully so, this franchise has set the bar for high-paced action thrillers. With the new installment released back in May, we called in Our Buddy Brett to join us in reliving every movie in the Mission: Impossible series.
Ep. 169: Jamie Lee Curtis – Apple Podcasts – The release of Freakier Friday gave us an opportunity to dig into one of the more underrated filmographies we’ve talked about on this show. Sure, Jamie Lee Curtis may be known for the Halloween franchise, but you’re doing yourself a disservice if you skip out on things like A Fish Called Wanda, True Lies, and The Last Showgirl.
Ep. 170: ‘The Long Walk’ and Stephen King – Apple Podcasts – The Long Walk was well-received back in September, and it sparked a larger conversation about Stephen King adaptations in film and television. You might be stunned to learn of all the things he’s written that have ended up on the big screen or the little screen. Brandon and I discussed his decades worth of influential work on this episode.
Ep. 172: Paul Thomas Anderson – Apple Podcasts – It’s arguably the biggest podcast we’ve done in this series. In true homage to PTA, we let this thing rip for nearly two hours. Actually, it might’ve been over two hours. I don’t remember. But, with such a gargantuan filmography to dive into, it was going to take some time no matter what. Our Buddy Brett joins Brandon and me to take a deep dive into one of the best bodies of work in the game.
