In your opinion, what should Titans fans expect this year from this football team?
Answer:
Happy to be back, Ed, and thanks for coming back with me. I am cautiously optimistic that all of the turnover will ultimately be a good thing for the Titans as they attempt to get this thing back on track. But, I’ve also gotten my hopes up each of the last two summers…so, I’m having a hard time fully buying in just yet. I will say that I’ve liked the rebuilding of the roster for the most part, but there’s still a way’s to go. I also think we shouldn’t underestimate the “newness” of everything. That’s something we did with the Callahan era Titans. Things take time to jell – I’m thinking six wins would be a win on the season. Anything more than that is gravy.
Question:
As far as your writing goes, do you know any spots that do poetry readings? Cobra has one the last Tuesday of the month Iāve done a few times, but looking for more.

Answer:
Dylan, I read the first question and immediately thought of Cobra. I’ve never done it myself, but have had a good friend of mine encourage me to give it a shot. I don’t know of any others, but if you find out, let me know. I’d be up for giving one a shot.

What are your weirdest food pairings people should try?

Answer:
Man, I will die on this hill – I know it’s a super heavy combination, but I love peanut butter on a burger or hot dog. I went to Daddy’s Dogs back in the winter, and their dog of the month was a hot dog that was topped with peanut butter, bacon, and maple syrup. It was phenomenal. To take it up a notch, one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time was one I had at a place in Knoxville that put peanut butter and a deep fried banana on the burger. It was super rich and decadent. I kind of felt like a useless piece of shit after eating it, but it was so good and I’ll still randomly think about that burger two years after trying it.

I’m going with Nick Singleton because he’s going to actually score some touchdowns. Fernando Carmona and Pat Coogan feel like developmental guys to me. Jackie Marshall is a rotational guy, and I have no idea what this team wants Jaren Kanak to be.

Is Chim hurt? Iāve seen clips of him in the background but heās very very rarely participating in them, which seems odd for someone who was featured in the jersey reveal and other things this offseason

Answer:
Chim is not hurt to my knowledge, but I’ll say…I’ve kind of been thinking the same thing. There has been minimal Chim coverage this spring so far, and I don’t particularly like it.
Question:
What are your broad thoughts on Elic? Iām in love with Tate, think Ridley will bounce back, and am sure Wandale will get his shareā¦ but I just cant quite the guy for some reason.

Answer:
I’m a big fan of Elic, and I think this is right where he needs to be for the time being. He has to clean up the drops, but the talent is so enticing. I liked him a lot coming out of Stanford and thought he could’ve been a second round pick. His size, speed, and athleticism is underrated – there’s definitely the makings of a talented NFL wide receiver there. Maybe without the pressure of being WR1 that he faced a lot last year, he can focus more on cleaning up the more raw aspects of his game and develop at a more reasonable pace.
