It’s hard to believe that four years have passed since we first made this video. I’ve started flipping through the SoBros Network archives and looking for things we’ve done that I want to make sure are documented on the site. A lot of stuff that we did just for YouTube or Patreon has slipped through the cracks throughout the years. It’s a trip down Memory Lane, sure, but it’s also taking stock of all the miles we’ve traveled and the work we’ve put out into the world. I want to savor a little more of my favorite projects, and so you’ll probably be seeing a few of these “Greatest Hits” post popping up throughout the ensuing months.
But, this video that Ryan helmed brought back memories of a fun and relaxing day. I mean, hell…I admit I take it for granted just how much nature is accessibile to us here in the Nashville area. If you get out of downtown, there’s beauty all around. This day was spent on the Piney River with our good buddy Mack, the three of us just coasting down the river, taking an occasional break to swim, and finding a river bank to cook tacos on.
From a technical standpoint, it’s funny how much work goes into what amounts to a three-minute video. I always wanted to do more of this stuff, and given how the digital media landscape has evolved in the 13 years since SoBros Network was born, maybe there’s room for us to focus on more SoBros Outdoors features in the future. But, man…we really had something here. Frankly, regardless of where we go from here, this video serves as a nice little time capsule of a beautiful September day. And yeah…go float down the Piney River. Take advantage of being right down the road from all its majesty.
