To make the Skeleton Key cocktail:
Ingredients
- 2 oz rye whiskey
- ½ oz blackberry liqueur
- ½ oz Benedictine
- ¼ oz fresh lemon juice
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash aromatic chocolate bitters (optional)
- Smoked rosemary sprig (for garnish)
- Blackberries and a lemon twist
Instructions
- Fill a mixing glass with ice.
- Add the rye, blackberry liqueur, Benedictine, lemon juice, and bitters.
- Stir until well chilled.
- Strain over a large ice cube in an old fashioned glass.
- Lightly torch the rosemary sprig (or gently smoke it), extinguish the flame, and place it in the glass.
- Garnish with a blackberry and a expressed lemon twist.
