Allegiant Air Offering Some Cheap Ass Flights Out of Nashville to Random Spots in May

A $49 flight to Albany? I hear it's lovely this time of year...

At this point in the pandemic, I’d be happy to see the other side of Old Hickory Lake as a vacation. And, I know for a fact that people have literally taken dumps in that lake. Went to high school with a guy who bragged about it once.

My point is that I’m so fucking tired of being locked up all the time that I would be willing to go just about anywhere to get away from these four walls. So, when I see that Allegiant Air is starting to chuck $49 flights outside of Nashville on the board, I have to admit that it piques my interest. I can feel it down in my plums. Getting a nice, bluish hue. Getting ready to take them down to the farmer’s market. Now, have I ever even heard of Allegiant Air? No. Do I know anyone that has flown Allegiant Air before? No. But, that’s beside the point….that point is ‘cheap flights.’

Details on the flight destinations courtesy of Fox17:

Albany, New York via Albany International Airport (ALB) – beginning May 14, 2021 with one-way fares as low as $49.*

McAllen, Texas via McAllen International Airport (MFE) – beginning May 27, 2021 with one-way fares as low as $69.*

Portsmouth, New Hampshire via Portsmouth International Airport (PSM) – beginning May 27, 2021 with one-way fares as low as $69.*

Boise, Idaho via Boise International Airport (BOI) – beginning May 28, 2021 with one-way fares as low as $69.*

Hell yeah, Albany! I’m a big fan of state capitals and Albany is definitely on the list of cities that are also capitals of states. That’s about the extent of my knowledge about Albany, but doing a quick Google search pulls up some lovely photos.

I had never heard of McAllen, Texas until this news came out. I mean, it has to be big, right? It has an INTERNATIONAL airport, and we all know that’s one of the hallmarks of a big city. A quick look at the map and holy shit, that’s practically Mexico. I had no idea there was even anything further south than Corpus Christi, but here we are.

New Hampshire seems like it’s my speed. I’ve always wanted to venture up to New England, especially in the fall – I hear it’s just lovely. And y’all might laugh at this, but I’m 100% on board with a trip to Boise. That part of the country is beautiful, and there is a veritable shit ton of outdoors stuff to do in Idaho. This is how Allegiant Air is going to win Nashville – put my ass in the mountains for $69.

PS. There’s absolutely no way they could make Eastbound & Down in 2021.
