They just don’t make ’em like this anymore…at least not that often. 1994’s True Lies is one of the last examples of the true original summer blockbuster. On this month’s episode of Movie Review Rewind, Brandon and I dive into the film and what made it such a resounding success at the box office back in the summer of 1994. We also ponder recent examples of similar movies, and spoiler alert, that list is quite short. The film was peak 90s cheese, but it also served as a reminder of a bygone era, and that made for quite the fun conversation.
