The New York Giants sent shockwaves throughout the football universe back in the spring when they drafted Duke quarterback Daniel Jones at 6th overall. This despite the fact that Jones was ranked in the 60s and 70s among noted football analysts.
An awful lot of people (myself included) thought the play would’ve been to grab Kentucky OLB Josh Allen in that spot and make the quarterback move later. Hell, I might’ve even been on board with quarterback at #6 IF that quarterback was Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins. But, it wasn’t meant to be. Dave Gettleman was dead set on Jones and he made him his guy. The national media absolutely shit all over the move.
Well, now, based on the clip below, it sure looks like Jones is a man on a mission, hellbent to prove his detractors wrong!
Giants really found a diamond in the rough.

WHOMST, please tell me, was this ball intended for?

You seein’ ghosts out there in Giants unis, Daniel? ‘Cause AIN’T NOBODY AROUND THAT BALL!
I mean, I’m guessing it was the tight end out in the flat, but damn! That ball was at least five feet over his head!
(I would like to note that while this video is fucking hilarious and indicative of one minor slip-up from a rookie quarterback, there is a ton of journalism out there that’s saying Jones is actually lighting it up at camp. Chill, people – we’re just joking around here.)
